Welcome to the house on the hill, and so welcoming it is to! An iconic Ohakune Railway Cottage built in 1920 but today boasting many attributes of a new build. The house is fully double-glazed with a mix of aluminium and timber joinery, keeping the integrity of the original build. The interior has a wood burner and an under floor ducted heat pump system to all rooms including bedrooms, I can vouch for how cosy this makes the whole house.

Set on a large and elevated section there are many vantage points where you can take in the beauty of that magical Mt. Ruapehu view, as well as breathtaking views out over Ohakune and all the way to Mt. Taranaki in the distance. Simply stunning! And a favourite for our current owners is watching the trains passing by on the main trunk line. At the rear of the property is an inviting spa pool and a large yard with fruit trees and a berry cage and loads of room to move. The section is also fully fenced for runaway children and pets!

The three bedrooms are all doubles and each has a hanging ladder feature that is cleverly used as storage and wardrobe. The living area is delightful with french doors opening on to a sunny deck with a view. At the rear is the kitchen, a spacious bathroom, laundry and separate toilet. Outside there is a garden and storage shed, great for all of your outdoor toys.
